Ishmael

True to His Promise · Ismail · إسماعيل
Islam

Ismail, peace be upon him, is the son of Abraham who helped raise the foundations of the House, and the Quran calls him a messenger and a prophet who was true to his promise. He is named in twelve verses. The Quran is the final revelation, and it is the measure by which earlier books are read.

Abraham and Ishmael are charged to purify the House for worshippers.
