Harun, peace be upon him, is the brother of Moses, whom Allah gave him as a prophet and helper out of His mercy. The Quran names him in 20 verses. The Quran is the final revelation, and it is the measure by which earlier books are read, including their account of Aaron.

The Bible

Where the Bible tells of him · Exodus, in the King James Version
Exodus 4:14
“And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.”
Exodus 32:1
“And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.”
In the Bible, the people ask Aaron to make them gods. The Quran tells it differently: Aaron warned the people and told them to follow him (20:90), and Moses’s question to him is in 20:92.

Christians and Jews read these Bible passages differently. This page presents them as the Quran frames them, with the Quran as the final revelation and the measure for what came before.
